Cork oak

Its top is not as dense as the holm oak, and its trunk is covered in cork.

    They often grow near granite outcrops, scattered over the northern sector of the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park, in places such as near Vilaüt, where there are two emblematic specimens.
