(Dama dama)

Introduced into the Park in the late 1980s, they have adapted very well to the wetlands habitat and can currently be found almost everywhere, taking refuge in treed areas, feeding in the meadows and crops or, quite frequently, crossing the small ponds in El Cortalet or El Matà. In Les Llaunes zone they can be seen in large herds, which can be observed from far away thanks to the males’ antlers, which they shed in mid-autumn.


In spring they take on the typical ochre colour with white marks.
